Pre-Auth actually drop like they were never there. Some are stating that they are getting a credit to their accounts which is not a common thing for a pre-auth.

A credit usually occurs once an account has been charged, and then a item has been returned.

What they are probably seeing is their available balance going back up to where it was w/o the preauth. The preauth only went away without it being charged because it took an extra few days to ship and/or they are going to recharge it less the shipping charges.

Yeah I thought that's what they would be seeing but I figured, what are the chances of several people describing this as a "credit" to their account. Lol.

itt: people reporting false information. a credit was not posted to your account, a pre-auth was dropped before the final charge.

Wrong.....

My PayPal account was charged the price for the phone, plus tax n shipping. My account was then credited the full amount. This is not like a typical credit card account. It is more like a debit card account. There was no "hold", the money was removed, then returned, to my account. Yet I have never gotten a single email save for the original order confirmation.

Google has handled this horribly!

Communication is very important in situations like this. If I am backorder bound, so be it, but COMMUNICATE this to me!!!

Normally pre-auth's are a $1 claim that show pending? This had a "-327.XX". Never seen a reverse authorization before I guess.

I too am still here waiting. Was told again this morning that I am not backordered and this time they sent my order to a "specialist."

She said she'd be communicating with me throughout the day....but I've heard that before :/

I have a feeling we will start to get them as ear;y as Friday, but as late as next Wednesday :(

First week of December. If it actually does take that long, mine better be from the latest batch manufactured and free of any bugs.

Its really weird being unplugged like this. I only have my tablet, which stays at home. Any time I leave the house, I am completely unreachable.

It's not a pre-authentication per-se... the amount varies by vendor. You can authorize the full amount first to make sure the customer has the full amount before the order is placed, and then capture the funds withing 3-5 days (it varies). Nobody except those people that have had their phones shipped will have a capture done on their payment methods.

PayPal and other similar methods do not have this "pre-authentication" when you're doing it from a bank account, so they WILL process it as a normal transaction, then give it back do you when the pending authorization expires.

Please, stop saying "they refunded my money" or "my money is back" -- it was never taken to begin with. It was on hold.

I see a lot of you are using more modern android devices like GNex and other tablets from your signatures. I am still on a Nexus S GSM and this thing is painfully slow compared to anything with multiple cores. I was really hoping to get this soon so that my opinion of Android didn't diminish too far. I can wait though.

I am going to give my wife my iPhone 5 when I get this though. I am tired of Apple's "incremental" hardware and software updates each year. I thought about the Lumia 920 to tide me over until this came in but another 500 for a phone seemed too much for me at this time.

Again, I hope these get shipped ASAP. I am really looking forward to leaving iOS forever!

Yesterday the Play Store status changed to Pending, but I haven't seen anything else happen.

I bought an iPhone 3G off Craigslist to use until my Nexus 4 arrives. So I concur with "I am really looking forward to leaving iOS forever!" I never had an Apple device, so that's why I went with an iPhone instead of something else. Can't say as I'm impressed, but it is ??? years old, so I'll give them a break.

Has anyone received a shipping notice since the last batch of notices went out Monday evening?

Nope. Lady I talked to this morning gave me the same story as everyone else....should get it by tonight. Heard that yesterday and the day before though too.

Yes I got my shipping notice yesterday (tuesday morning) my phone should be delivered today as it left the local ups warehouse about 1 hour away from me early this morning. Guessing it's already on a truck for delivery.
