Shipping Confirmation for Backordered item
Amidst all the speculation and mixed responses from Google concerning shipping has anybody received both the Shipping email and the Backorder email? If so there may be hope for people like me who didn't place an order too late but still got the backorder. Even if you have not gotten a shipping email do you know if your device is on the way, as in checking by call Google or using My UPS.

I've not only got my shipping email, but my tracking number on the UPS site puts my Nexus 4 at a location about an hour's drive from me, after having flown from Kentucky to California today. I fully expect it to be here tomorrow (Friday). We'll see.

Shipping confirmation received for "backordered" item
I don't want to create false hope and I'm not posting to brag, but just wanted to alert you all that I, like many of you, received the "backorder" email yesterday afternoon and was supremely bummed. But this morning, I received a shipping confirmation email. Just want to let you know that it looks like they're rolling out backordered items in a timely fashion. FYI, my order was placed at 11:49am EST.

I'll add that I called the GooglePlay support line asking about my order.
I did receive the back order email yesterday.
She indicated the order would be shipping "soon" and sent an email to my gmail account stating:
"I spoke to you about your order # XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
We ask that you allow 3 to 5 business days to arrive.

I also had a backorder email sent and now I have been billed and recieved a tracking number. Google play now list that order as complete. I had sent a reply (to the backorder email) about how I was disapointed with google and said they could learn something from Amazon. I have no Idea if this had any impact on my phone shipping. I do have another order I placed by accident in the chaos that is still pending.

Is there any hope for those of us who have backorder + haven't received shipping email?
Called Google play support, lady said my order should ship today evening or on monday. However, I didn't tell her about the email. Ordered at 11:41, grr. - 11-16-2012, 03:13 PM #13

The 3 weeks is just the max. It's not like they're going to ship all of the backorders in 3 weeks. They should be shipping them multiple times before then. I think there's a good chance most of us will get them before 2 weeks.

GUys its WITHIN 3 weeks means it could be tomorrow or whenever. I think they say 3 weeks to be safe.
