Did ups just leave your package at the door?

Just curious if the delivery for the Nexus 4 requires a signature or if UPS will just leave the box if you're not home?

Go to ups.com and enter your tracking number and it should say if a signature is required. The last time Verizon sent me a phone it needed a signature. But this was almost two years ago.

Yep UPS left it at the side door Instead of the front and didn't even bother to knock. Lol if I hadn't of been starring out the window the whole day I wouldn't even had known it arrived.

Mine was delivered to my office. A co-worker signed for it. Maybe they require signatures when delivering to a business?

I don't have a tracking number. I have not received any emails since the original order confirmation email. I called last week and was told it would be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. That never happened. I am out of town for the weekend and was just curious in case by some chance they delivered it today.

Just got off the phone with Google again, they are looking into my account to see what's going on.

I put a note on my door asking for the package to be left without signature. The box was there and the note was gone when I got home.

Mine did not require a signature. It was on my porch. I actually called UPS to verify because I went home from work to get it so it wouldn't sit out all day.

I requested will call just in case I wasn't there to get it... They didn't even try to deliver it lol and then in the tracking status it said I had picked up the package before I even got to the will call center

Isn't that what "Will Call" is? Basically "hold for pick up" -- they won't try to deliver it, you go pick it up at the designated UPS pickup place.

In my experience they do at the drivers' discretion. I used to live in a good complex but the doorstep was close to a main avenue and very visible, no drivers left packages on my doorstep if I was not at my place. It all depends where you live and how they can best protect the parcel.

I might send mine to my mates as you can't really access my apartment door from the street. Gates are key card entry.

Will call means that they hold it after a failed delivery attempt, hence my surprise lol

They left mine at my upstairs neighbors for some reason. Lucky for me he was nice enough to come knock on my door and give me the box. I would assume it didn't require a signature.

Yes, business deliverys ALWAYS require a signature,

Yes, they are allowed to leave packages at apartments if the sender doesnt require a sig. It's up to the judgement of the driver (which means yes, they will leave it at your apartment)
This has always been a big problem. Some drivers seem to leave them with neighbors with no notice to do so. A very small % of drivers will hardly EVER leave your package if you live in an apartment.

No, Tmobile has NEVER requried a signature for there delivery's.

Yes, TONS of people called in regarding the whereabouts of there tmobile phones over the years I worked there. A lot of them were stolen (by the driver in some cases, but probably the neighbors in the majority)

My front door was wide open with the screen door closed and my nexus was just sat right on my front door with a ring on the doorbell and a walk off. I tried to say thanks to the driver but he didn't hear me. So I ran inside, tore off the packaging and stared at the little box in awe.

Side note hint: NEVER do a will-call on a signature-required delivery until the package has at least been attempted. or it wont get attempted, even if on a truck and out for delivery. But in this case, it doesn't matter, because it doesn't require a signature anyway.
