Just talked to a csr and argued with her about that fact that i received a shipped email on friday but still have no further tracking availabe.. she tried to convince me that my phone was leaving their warehouse today and should be shipped by morning. when i asked about a refund for the 2day shipping since its past due, she seemed confused and told me a specialist would contact me. no progress made while talking to her but hoping she is somehow right about the phone being shipped by morning, guess it gives some hope..

so no shipping refund. damn. anyone else get one?

Google has messed up from the beginning, we all agree right? Ok, so why is it so hard to believe they messed up on sending false "shipped" emails? You guys were super stoked to get one within 2 weeks. Hold on to that feeling :)

What you fail to understand is that some of us have messages from Google stating that the item has shipped. We have the trackers from UPS. Our accounts are billed. And UPS says that some would be here today. This, of course, is not the case with everyone, and frankly all of this wouldn't be a problem, but it seems someone jumped the gun and gave people false hope.

On 11/30, last friday, emails were sent out saying the item had shipped. "Wow, that's early!" The tracker that we received hasn't been updated since then. We purchased two-day shipping. Two business days from Friday is TODAY. Hell, some people even got theirs yesterday. Our accounts have the money withdrawn, and we're expecting our packages.

We're not upset that it's taking so long, we're just upset that we're being told false information. I believe all of us were planning on waiting out the full two weeks.

Perhaps you should just go elsewhere and leave us be.

i was going to reply to his post, but you said everything i wanted to say. well done sir.

What's that? A huge company that messed up from day one lied to you? That's shocking. I'm shocked cotton! Haha, dodge ball. Funny movie!

i think most (including self) assumed that the "hard" part was over after we got our orders in and after that everything will be smooth i didn't assume the shipping processes would be f***ed up as well.

You know what happens when we assume right? I haven't got my hopes up since it sold out in 15 minutes the first time. I won't be happy and know it's over until I'm replying to these threads on my new phone. I guess I learned...

yes pardon me for assuming that the second most valuable tech company in the WORLD can't make an easy, smooth sale.

It's ok buddy. We all make mistakes. And after the second most valuable tech company screwed up a tech release, you would think we would learn. We will have our phones soon enough. I for one can't wait!

I believe there is a bigger problem, logistic behind the shipping (UPS side) has failed, could be because devices are not ready or not being delivered by LG in quantities as expected (on which the whole logistic is set up). Not many people are reporting delivery of the phone even though UPS is suggesting so. Let's see, it is very sad that Google is not transparent about it.

I ordered mine as everyone else the same day Google announced, went through same ordeal of having my nexus being forced out from my cart numerous times. Then when I was clicking my mouse like a crazy person (which I don't even do this to my mouse when playing COD online), it finally prompted me to Google wallet page. It does still show on my CC account as purchased and no pending since December 2. My colleague suggested I should file a claim on it (probably as a joke). UPS does not hold responsible for any shipper like Google or Apple to hold out shipment for any reason. They are only there to make delivery once they drop off or have UPS Feeder to pick up shipment. I have also worked with 1800-pick-ups numerous times in the past and they share the same frustration of these merchants not shipping out on time then blame UPS so the customers feel ease with their companies but still hold UPS responsible.

Interesting note, when I called Google for the second time, a representative told me she is going to pass my message thru their shipping warehouse, but again they never did the follow up as they promised. But more interesting note, this was going to be my first Apple (last 5 years) to Android experience and I am not having a good time so far. Not sure even this is a good idea since I already purchased so many apps now I am afraid of paying similar or even more to buy apps from Google Play.

Also how are you supposed to do 15 day return since purchase if it takes Google to ship out more than 2 weeks??? ummm...

My best guess is that Google ordered the shipping labels en masse on 30 November. The ordering of the labels must have triggered the charge on the card and the sending of the emails before the actual shipping of the device.

Now that's a good question... if Google doesn't even know where the phone is (order status says charged AND shipped on 11/30 for me), when does the 15 day return policy start?

At this point I just wish Google or UPS or someone else could shed light on the current situation, instead of ignoring customers.

just got off the phone with google. they said "it appears we skipped a step and don't know why we sent you that shipping email, because it did not ship. expect to hear from a 'specialist' within 2 days". i didn't even bother asking for a shipping refund, since it did not even ship. so i guess my advice to those in the same state as me (got shipping email and tracking # on the 30th) is to just ignore it.

^ THIS is the kind of info we needed. If we had gotten this on Friday ("Sorry guys! It seems you were all sent shipping notices too early. -Google"), we would have been only a bit upset and we would have moved on. And knowing this, I can stop checking for UPS every two seconds ("Was that a truck? I KNOW I heard a truck.. My dogs moved. They must've heard something. Etc. etc.")
