Nexus 4 Ordered on November 27: Order Status and Tracking

I called and spoke with a rep that basically said I received the tracking number in error. When I asked why the pending charge on my credit card went to a hard charge on the 30th after receiving the tracking number, the rep had no explanation. According to her, charges are only supposed to appear after the device shipped, and that my device had not shipped yet. She said my tracking information should be updated by Friday though and if it's not to call back again to have a shipping specialist look into the issue.

For some more info, I got my order in on the 27th and was a 1-2 week. My tracking number still just says the label was created on the 29th.

FWIW, talked w/a CSR. The current story on why the order is in limbo (YSoD) is that Google dropped the ball and is backed up getting the Nexus 4's to UPS. I asked the CSR that if there was a backup shipping the phones, why then were people who were quoted longer delivery times getting their phones prior to me and there was no answer nor even a coherent attempt at an answer. Every day, the story changes. Yesterday it was UPS fault, today, its backed up, tomorrow????

Tomorrow I will have my phone :)

All we can do is wait.

Alas, I will have to pay for another month of Virgin Mobile service for my very over-the-hill Optimus V on the 8th unless the phone gets here in the next day or two (which is looking more and more unlikely), so in this case, waiting costs me money. :( :'( :-$

In all honesty, if I was part of the google play support and kept getting emails with people saying things like:

"where is my phone? I haven't gotten any tracking info and its been X amount of days!!"
"why have i been charged when my phone hasn't been shipped?"
"where is my phone!!??"
"why are people who ordered in the 2-3 week window getting their orders shipped before me when I ordered in the 1-2 week window!!??"
"I want a shipping refund because shipping took X amount of days!!"
etc. etc.

I would be so tempted to do something like this:

For those looking for updates. 1-2 weeker got the first shipping notice today and ups now says phone is in Seattle.

Seriously not trying to brag or rub it in anyone's face just contributing more info for those keeping track.

When I was a 1-2 weeker following this thread I was also getting frustrated hearing about everyone who got shipping notices last Friday and I wasn't getting anything, but I kept reading to get more info.

I was the 4-5 week guy from earlier that was shocked to see a shipping notification. As of now, the phones are here in Phoenix and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. However, they have not dinged my CC on file with the Play Store as of yet. I've never known Chase to be that slow with a charge posting to the account, maybe it will ding tomorrow.

Who the hell knows at this point, it could just be an empty box that weighs 1.9 pounds? Or.....Google sent me a letter bomb because I'm currently using a WP7 device?

I normally don't get this lucky, must be all that clean livin'......ya.

UGH, not sure that I can make it a month longer with my Galaxy SIII...LOL just kidding. I want my phone ASAP like everyone else, but it's out of my control right now anyway. Good luck to those with shipping notifications!
