I still want a refund too and will be calling google again about it. I just called today earlier and asked where my device was and if I could get a refund. They passed my request onto a specialist. If I don't here back from them in tomorrow I am going to call back and ask again for a refund on the shipping. I paid for 2 day shipping and that is what I expect. Anytime something does not arrive 2 day when that service is paid for, the company you are buying your merchandise from typically refunds it. Google should do the same.

What does your Order Processed: Ready for UPS time stamp on your updated tracking say? If it still shows 11/30 you have a case, if they changed it to 12/5, I don't think you will get very far. And you are still getting it in the 1-2week time frame you were promised at the time you ordered. I think they will fall back on that and just say the 11/30 email was a mistake and deny your claim. Hope I am wrong and you get a refund though.

when we ordered it says "ships in 1-2 weeks", once it "ships" 2 days business days (not including day it ships) is guaranteed. So it will take 4 business days (assuming i actually get mine tomorrow) for me from the day it "shipped". A refund seams very reasonable for this IMHO.

The updated tracking on the UPS site says 11/29 just as it originally did. They said it would ship in 1-2 weeks not that it would take that long to arrive/be in the process of shipping. Another poster explained the technicality better a few pages back. I will find the post and quote it tomorrow morning. I doubt they will give a refund as a lot of other people have asked already and reported being denied. Although one other person in this thread did get a successful $14 shipping refund. So slim chance.

Found the member's post who got a successful refund -
CSR said she is submitting a request for refund immediately as it has crossed the deadline after I was charged on Dec 1st. I was not given any tracking for refund. But she said , it will be a separate transaction on my account with a refund of $14.

Still looking for the other one about the 1-2 week shipping

I've begun the process of requesting that my shipping fees be refunded. The rep that I've been emailing with informed me that they can't begin the refund process until I've received the phone. I'll let you folks know what the resolution is.

These are the pertinent points so far as I'm concerned:

  1. I paid for 2nd day shipping (which includes Saturday per UPS).
  2. I received a notification from Google on 11/30 that my item had shipped.
  3. It is now 12/5, 6 shipping eligible days later, and I still have not received my item.

I suggest that everyone in the same boat as I am make the same request. Hitting their bottom end is the only way that I see them improving customer service.

Does anyone know if the package needs a signature? I saw on someone else's screenshot that you needed a signature, but on mine it doesn't give me the option.

I don't disagree with you, but after having read all of the conversations YBODers had with various CSR's in this thread, I don't think they will see it that way.

Posted about an hour and a half ago basically giving up and all i wanted was one lousy location. Well this 1-2 weeker just checked my ups tracking number and it has been updated. This is such great news since having the YBOD for 6 days. If there are any 1-2 weekers left, just wait, but i think this might be working itself out now. My package went through at 12:13 EST. To any 2-3 weeks+ i do not intend to be mean with this video but this is basically how i feel now. My phone should be here tomorrow. Yeahh!!! So exicted!

In all seriousness, this has been a very entertaining thread. I thoroughly enjoyed following it all day and I hope all of the YBODers get their phones today.

Now, look at all these kindly posts coming out after the device-shipment flush of relief. I think we can all see Google's master plan beginning to emerge: it was never about the phones, but togetherness, the kind of community that can really only emerge from collective loathing. I, for one, applaud Google for their willingness to become scapegoats for our cause.

... but then, if they deliberately sabotaged the orders just to make us hate them, I suppose we're still obliged to do so. Don't put down your pitchforks yet, gang! Shipping refunds ahoy! Hopefully I can send the request from my new phone for a touch of irony. If not, then it will be just. I can't lose.
