Default T-mobile monthly 4g sim transfer question

I currently have an HTC Amaze with mini sim on T-mobile's monthly 4g. I bought a new micro sim for my nexus 4 online. Now to switch my account over to the new micro sim the instructions that came with the new card say to go to t-mobile.com/sim to activate and transfer, but when i go to the provided url, i am redirected to the t-mobile homepage. Has anyone found out how to transfer over there account on to a new sim card? Thanks for your help.

I think the correct site is t-mobile.com/prepaidactivation

Presuming, of course, that you want to activate on one of the monthly pay-as-you-go plans. If not...

    Call customer service.

Or just go into a T-Mobile store; most of them have SIM cutters and the ones that don't will often give you a new SIM for free.

Or just download the PDF template (make sure to print it at 100%, don't scale to fit) available all over the internet and cut the SIM yourself with some scissors. Easy.

    Only works for post-paid, unfortunately.

I doubt Walmart has a SIM cutter, and if they did, I'm not sure I'd trust them with it. I used this template (again, print at 100%, don't scale to fit cos the template is intended for A4 paper), a piece of tape and some scissors. It took me less than 5 minutes in the comfort of my own kitchen. Oh, I used a nail file to smooth the edges a bit. Still easy.

I just walked into the T-Mobile store, told them I needed a smaller sim and they gave me one for free.
