Tiny Planet Pictures taken with your Nexus 4

Since there is a topic on pictures taken with your N4 why not break it down a bit here and show us your tiny planet pics!

Here are some of mine.

Live shots in the morning. 3 different stations Live trucks.

Just take a photosphere and after it renders, at the bottom right there is an option to make them. Looks like one of the tiny planets.

I don't see this option. Do I have to first create an entire "sphere" (that is, 360 deg)? I have so far tried with about 180 deg side to side and perhaps 45 deg up and down from the "normal" plane.

Okay, so I just read elsewhere that you do indeed need to shoot a full 360 deg image to enable the Tiny Planet tool.

Will have to give that a try later...

I'm sorry, but I can't get this one figured out. I can take a 360 degree panoramic, but I'm not seeing how to turn it into a tiny planet image. Is there a separate app you need to install, or is this in the native camera? Could you give me a step by step?

Tiny planets FTW! This is a really cool effect although I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Thanks for bringing this to light OP.

How did you get your tiny planets to not have a black hole in the middle? When I take a photosphere, there is always a black empty part where I am standing straight down.

Maybe, does it give you a target straight down if you step to the side and hold the phone over where you were just standing?

I think you just tap that Tiny Planet icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Seriously. I half expected to be questioned by police during my recent trip to NYC when I was taking photospheres of landmarks. Sheesh!

Take the photosphere in portrait mode, not landscape.

Man, this makes me feel like an idi0t (mostly because I'm a photographer), but I just can't get this working. I tried in portrait mode and still have the big black center. I also can't figure out how some people seem to have moved their camera both up/down, as well as turning 360 degrees. Mine is always forcing me to turn 360 while keeping the camera level.

Have you tried finding the little blue dots that are shown when you are in photosphere? Center the viewfinder on those and it should work. Are you making sure you are finding them all?

That did it! You are awesome! I wasn't seeing the other blue dots when you tilt the phone up or down. Thanks.

1. You have to click on the image in your filmstrip to bring it up and then the tiny planet option should appear, or you can click edit>(+/-)>Tiny Planet. Be sure you can see the menubar at the top of your screen otherwise the tiny planet option will not appear, you will only see the photosphere icon and the photo.

2. To get the black circle to disappear, you have to add a frame (from within tiny planet edit menu). It took a couple of tries for me to get this to work, but it works now.
