I prefer to use a private insurance company to insure my electronics, instead of the plan offered by T-Mobile. Many private policies do not require a deductible when you file a claim, charge you one bulk premium instead of a monthly charge, and fulfill your claims with a check instead of with a refurbished device.
I had my GNex insured by Worth Ave. Group, but I had to sue them in small claims court when they denied my claim. I still have my 3DS and Motorola Xoom tablet insured by them, but I'm considering canceling those policies for a prorated refund of the premiums that I paid, if I can find a better company.
