Why can't we go to landscape mode on the home screen of the N4 like we can on the N7?

The note 2 will not do it either. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen a phone with it since the slide out keyboards were popular.

The LG Optimus G has the option to put the home screen in landscape mode.
