The battery life on my Nexus 4 is excellent. I am getting at least 14 hours per charge. Pretty much the same as my Note. Don't have an S3.

You heard wrong. Some people are experiencing bugs that affect battery life, but for the majority it's fine. I have no problems making it through a whole day with half battery life left under moderate usage.

My battery is great...better than it was on my Galaxy Nexus. I go to bed around midnight and usually have between 30% and 40% left.

My battery is worse than it was on my s3 but it isn't so significant that it makes me want to switch back. Of course it's unfortunate that I can't just swap out batteries any more but what can ya do.

My experience has been good too. If I use it heavily throughout the day, I'm left with around 20-30% by the time I'm headed off to bed. As long as it gets me to that point with a little juice to spare all is well with the world.

You heard right, the battery does not last as long as some other phones. My unlocked galaxy nexus was much better than my nexus 4; I would plug it in at night with over 50% left. The 4 can barely make it to mid afternoon with 50%, and I'm usually plugging it in with around 10-25% left. Night and day difference.

It's not bad. But if you continue reading through phone forums, it will seem as if there is a huge issue with the battery. Remember, most people only post in forums when they have (or perceive to have) issues. When everything is fine with the phone, they hardly post.

Take it all with a grain of salt and remember that forum members only represent a very very very small percentage of phone owners.

Here's the latest failness. Before you get excited about the 15-3/4 hours before death, you should know that I put it in airplane mode for 6 hours while I slept. Waking up, it was at 97%. Then I turn on the radios and even with wi-fi shut off, I didn't even get 10 hours of use with 100 minutes - not even two hours of screen time - before it was ready to shut off.

I can't keep asking Google to send more phones in hopes of getting one that doesn't suck. With kernel-level gamma tweaks I've got an acceptable looking screen and the microphone isn't garbage like my first phone's was, but not even getting 10 hours of off charger time is about what my GS2 got and that was a phone starving half the time for a proper data connection due to Trudge's crap network.

My phone signal is above three bars most of the time and by web speeds are right snappy. I've added System Panel to the battery eater hunting arsenal (though there's a review that it's wonky on N4) to see what's going on, but to see so many claiming two days of use with hours and hours of screen time is distressing.

.

It says your average battery life is 16 hours though. I don't see the problem of averaging around 16hrs of battery life.

And this is with 2.5 hours of screen time.

I got 1 day 9 hrs with 35% remaining, starting from fully charged Sunday morning. Light data use. They have a 7-hour talk time, so keep that in mind if you use it for heavy phone usage. Talked for 2-hours recently from full and it went down to 75%.
