Phoenix Tmobile service data speeds slow- 1mb dn?

Had my nexus 4a few days. I imagine on Tmobile services. I its live in Goodyear and work in Peoria. I seeing really spotty service and slow data. Any other phx area users experiencing this? Could you my apn settings be off?

I'm in Scottsdale. I'm almost in a dead spot here at home. I normally get 1-3 Mbps. But when I'm out I've averaged about 5-7 Mbps. I've seen as high as 16mbps

This stinks. Phx is supposed to be hspa 42 and this is the speeds were seeing? It's not like like in the boon docks.

Update. I its instled a network monitoring app and I'm seeing horrid numbers.-100db of so

I work in AZ on occasion and my colleagues with Tmo (on their personal line) complain about the spotty coverage and slower DATA speeds.

I am on at&t and do not notice the spotty coverage as much, but my DATA is definitely slower than my home area.

I always figured that had to do with AZ being a more rural state.
