Received messages scattered?

Love my new Nexus and although I'm new to Android, am one happy camper!

One problem I have is with received text messages: they appear 'scattered', or broken up. And not in order when one writes a longer txt. This does not show with private messages received through FB. Called Google but they were unable to help. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a network issue rather than something to do with Android or the Nexus. I've never had messages scattered on any of my three Android phones over the past years.

K. My carrier just told me it's probably an 'inter-carrier' issue.

By chance, are these scattered texts from iPhone users? The iPhone's iMessage has been known to not play nice with other OS messaging apps (I've had group texts/MMS from iPhone users delayed for hours in the past on other phones).
