More than likely, your carrier's voicemail-handling number. For example, mine go to 805-637-7249 which is T-Mobile's voicemail system.

Which raises an interesting point (honestly, something I just read while googling thie phone number): it seems that the way this works is that if you have an incoming call which you choose not to answer, your phone will forward it to the number cited in settings. According to at least one user, this means that you are effectively charged for the minutes used by your caller when he leaves a voice message. And, in the case I was reading about, since the T-Mobile customer was on a cruise ship at the time, the entire process took place at the international roaming rate of $4.99/minute - even though the recipient was careful not to answer his phone or check voicemail while aboard ship (and thus roaming).

Just checked settings and all seem to be forwarded to a number I dont recognise..where do they end up?

if you looking to forward it to Google voice number just edit it. when i got the phone my voicemail was not activated and dialing the number to activate Google voice was not working.
so i edited this. call forwarding and voicemail works perfectly now.

I did this too. I actually couldn't change the numbers on my phone myself; it would give me an error. I called T Mobile customer service and they did it on their end. Google Voice now works flawlessly.

What T-mobile plan are you on? Is this possible on prepaid plans? The way I have it set up on my prepaid plan is I simply told T-mobile to deactivate voicemail on my account. Since all my calls are forwarded from my Google Voice number, if after a certain amount of time the call isn't answered, Google Voice automatically picks up the call and the Voicemail goes there. For this to work, however, I have to let the call ring until it's naturally picked up by GV. If the call comes in, and I I drag the phone icon to the left (i.e. to ignore the call), it still goes to T-mobile's voicemail, whereupon the caller is informed that I do not have a mailbox on the system (that's correct, since I had them deactivate it).

This works well enough for me, since I don't receive that many calls, and even most of the calls I do receive are received with an app active that picks up my calls through Gmail chat (I use Talkatone). When I have to receive a call through the phone app and I want to ignore it, simply pressing the volume button stops it from physically ringing, though the call is still coming through. So I don't really have to put up with noise when I don't want to. Still, it would be nice if I could just call T-mobile and have them forward ignored calls to GV.

My calls have been being forwarded to this number. Researched it and in one comment it said owner number was being forwarded to this number, second said their phone was hacked, third spam and 4th is my comment.
