Settings for 3g only on Nexus 4

Hi, All
How can I keep my Nexus4 on 3G only. I get bad reception at work on 4G want to set the phone on only 3G

4G and 3G are the same thing on the Nexus 4. Do you mean force the phone onto 2g EDGE to get a better signal?

I have both 2G and 3G network available but i want my nexus to use only 3G and never try connecting to 2G. Is there a way to force this ?

To go to 2G only, go to settings>"more" under wireless&networks>Mobile networks and check "Use only 2G networks"

yes .. that option is available but we are looking for a way to force 3G and not connect to 2G ....

I believe it will only connect to 2g if 3g is not available. So it would have been a bit of a pointless option to have.

when the option is available in hidden settings why cant we have that option saved permanently ? the options is available in my Samsung Galaxy S3 but can find that on my Nexus 4.

I hate to ask, But you can't just plug the thing in somewhere??
