Re: Over 820,000 Nexus 4 have been produced (as of January 25th 2013)
That's incredible. What was the number sold for the Galaxy Nexus?

Re: Over 820,000 Nexus 4 have been produced (as of January 25th 2013)
not sure where you got that information from and it is far from accurate.
1. Google estimates the demand of the Nexus 4 based on the "low" sales of the Galaxy Nexus.
2.
If the device was priced at $250 exactly, then $250 mil / $250 = 1 million devices sold in the first 2 quartersSamsung attorney John Quinn told the court that in the first two quarters it was in the market, the Galaxy Nexus sold $250 million worth of the device, arguing that "this is a product that, at most, captured 0.5 percent of the market."
If the device was priced at $349 exactly, then $250 mil / $349 = 716,332 devices sold in the first 2 quarters
If the device was priced at $399 exactly, then $250 mil / $399 = 626,566 devices sold in the first 2 quarters
There is without a doubt that the Nexus 4 is much more popular and much more in demand than the Galaxy Nexus. - 02-08-2013, 09:20 AM

Re: Over 820,000 Nexus 4 have been produced (as of January 25th 2013)
From techcrunch
Nexus 4 Owners Estimate One Million Handsets Have Shipped Since November 2012 Launch
Last month we reported how Android enthusiasts on the XDA Developer forum had worked out a method to estimate the smartphone’s production run based on each device’s IMEI number. Going into the end of 2012 the estimate suggested LG had produced about 400,000 devices in total. Now, according to a post on the same forum by member draugaz, Nexus 4 production has passed the millionth device.
Google declined to comment on Nexus 4 sales figures when contacted by TechCrunch but a source close to the company indicated that Mountain View is very happy with the take up so far. - 03-30-2013, 04:38 AM

So el goog does not seem to be slowing down although I suppose they actually should be doing it by now.Serials going up to 490+k as of 16th of March. Or 160k in March. In other words, that little nexus army is marching forwards showing no signs of slowing down. Kind of strange.
Btw, around 680k.
Looks like they still don't even think about slowing down.
The monthly production rate will look like this (assuming 10,000 will be produced on March 30 and another 10,000 produced on March 31).
October: 70,000
November: 90,000
December: 210,000
January: 560,000
February: 404,000
March: 366,000
Total at the end of March: 1,700,000 units - 03-30-2013, 09:33 AM #34

12 = december not november?
With mine I don't think the whole thing is accurate.

Mine was manufactured 20130127, just over #797,000.
From the numbers shared and reposted, sure as hell looks like they made < 100,000 before December, but then by February had made nearly a million. Confirms Google's claim that the supply chain was an issue, eh?Sent by accident, not using the Android Central app
Nexus 4 (Mako), Amaze 4G on T-Mobile. Nexus 7 16GB. Google Chromebook (2012 Samsung 16gb). Next stop, a Google flush toilet.
