lol... with no mention that it was even a thought by anyone at LG, Google, or even down to the cleaning staff there, why would anyone even assume that they were going to?
And here we are, 2 months later, and there is no 32 GB version. It was a mistake to compare it with the Nexus 7 in the first place. The better comparison would have been Galaxy Nexus which is the only other unlocked phone Google has released. The Galaxy Nexus , as released by Google, never had a model with more storage then 16 gigabytes.

The times they are a changin. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. After 2 months would seem a bit quick IMO. But 32 is the new normal now. Not sure why they bothered with the 8gb at all on the Nexus 4 or 7.And here we are, 2 months later, and there is no 32 GB version. It was a mistake to compare it with the Nexus 7 in the first place. Google wants you to store your stuff online. How hard is that to grasp?

While I agree this is Google's thinking, they seem to forget the #1 selling apps are always games and most games are 1GB or larger and require being stored locally on the device. Until google can change that, bigger storage is required.

I really don't think the Nexus 4 - or for that matter the Nexus line of products - is meant to be primarily a gaming device. It's meant to be a pure Android experience with Google services, much of which increasingly rely on the cloud. It's meant to be that device with a sweet price tag. For those who want a device to load a whole bunch of games, Nexus 4 is not the phone for them. There are plenty of other Android phones to choose from that have both more internal storage and SD card expandability. While I agree this is Google's thinking, they seem to forget the #1 selling apps are always games and most games are 1GB or larger and require being stored locally on the device. Let's crunch the numbers -
The top-grossing app downloads list is here: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...O1ljJ_fZk&feature=top-grossing&token=Ru_s56Uc
That's not a good way to judge. The captain america game (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ils?id=com.marvel.capinstaller&token=-L6-NCW9) says it's 22MB, but when you install it and start it up it says it needs to download additional data which bloats it to 900MB.
That's about 520.5MB worth of stuff, averaging to about 20.82MB per download. Of course, this doesn't take into account if any of those apps require additional data downloads after install.
But not every game is like that. Assuming one game requires 900MB of extra data isn't a good way to judge either.
I'm looking at Candy Crush Saga on my Nexus 7. The app is taking about 32 MB of space, 9 MB of data.
