Nexus 4 message not sent

What's happening nexus 4 and android lovers. I was wondering if someone else is having the same issue as me where the notification for a text message not sent won't go away and keeps coming back? I'm not sure what message it's referring to. All my messages are sent and received. I went through all my contact conversation and couldn't find it. Pretty sure it's a bug.
Does someone know how to fix this? Thanks

Are you sure there are no red warning exclamation sign next to any of your text messages?

Nothing. Lol. That's why it's so weird. I remove the notification and each time I open my text message app the notification comes back. "message not sent, check your messages"

never had a problem with text message. maybe it doesn't like just you.

My wife's nexus 4 hasn't done either. Maybe I should contact googs?

clear data cache in message app. it will go away. after that just reboot phone

I have this problem too.
I did have messages that hadn't sent, so I deleted them and then deleted the threads they belonged too, but now the 'messages not sent' alert refuses to go away.
I have tried clearing cash and rebooting, no such luck.
Any other thoughts?

Just had this issue come up today. Same problem as OP. I tried deleting cache and data then rebooting and as soon as I tapped the sms icon the "message not sent" appeared on the status bar. I have checked my conversations and all messages appear as sent.
