    Default Newbie battery question

I just got my N4 four days ago. It's my first smartphone. Two nights ago I didn't charge it when I went to bed. I'm pretty sure it was at least 75% charged. Next morning, completely drained. So I installed Juice Defender and used the basic preset. Last night the battery was 95%+ charged. This morning, again, completely drained. I thought JD turned off all the battery sucking things.
#1 - Is this normal battery behavior? or Will this improve in the next couple of weeks as the battery gets broken in?
#2 - Is there a process I should follow to break in or condition the battery

Thanks for being nice to the newbie

    Kyle

That really should not happen with your phone.. If you go into your quick settings and click on battery, what does the graph look like? Does it show it slowly discharging over night or a sudden drop?

Yeah. Please show us your battery graph. Also, juice defender just turns off your data, which can save some battery life.

I have seen other posts like this and it is not normal. I usually do not lose any power overnight. I switch to another phone on Monday and do not power up my Nexus 4 until Friday and it loses a bit but minimal battery. I do not use JD or anything like that.

Definitely not normal. I usually lose between 5%-10% overnight which I usually sleep around 8 hours

U have some kind of wake lock issue. All the spots where the phone is awake but the screen isn't turning on means something is waking your phone and not letting it into deep sleep I presume. I'd download GSAM battery monitor and CPU spy
