If you're one of the legions of people who have used faux123's FauxClock (and the new Faux Display) to adjust the messed-up gamma amp settings which caused the washed-out screen, the new 4.2.2 rendered everything but the RGB sliders invisible. Faux has been out of circulation the past few days because his wife had surgery and he's been with her at the hospital, but tonight he tossed up a quick post explaining that stock kernel users may be SOL:

Quick update on 4.2.2 kernel:

Google/LG really hate STOCK kernel users They have COMPLETELY DISABLED (CONFIG_MODULES=n) all modifications to the stock kernel So stock users are SOL as far as FauxClock and FauxDisplay are concerned CUSTOM kernels are now required for ANY manipulations of Color/Gamma settings.

I am still at the hospital, so the things I can do are severely limited.

Quick Summary of 4.2.2 kernel updates:

Lots of KGSL updates (3D kernel drivers)
Some SDCard driver updates
Some Video Frame Buffer driver updates
1 USB driver update (NO HSIC fixes or updates)
some core kernel updates.

It's not clear if the old kernels are compatible with 4.2.2, so that's on hold for the moment. Bother.
