Are you allowing the app to learn completely on it's own, or are you manually setting specified apps' refresh options?

If I'm understanding this correctly, this app primarily saves battery by turning off background data or sync for apps when you don't need them. I doubt this will help me a lot since the only app I have automatic sync on is Gmail. I already turned sync off in all the other apps. But I downloaded it anyway. I'll see how it goes.

Since I have everything enabled for sync and like to shut down wifi when not at home, I think this could help me immensely.

For those who have installed this and had it running for a few days, what are your initial impressions? I'm about to give it a try myself although I don't use my phone as often on the weekends as I do during the week, so I might hold off until Monday.

I can see it all now. The learning stage is over, and suddenly everyone starts saying "OMG! Snapdragon Battery Guru melted my phone and ate all the cheese in my fridge!"

Just downloaded it and its still learning. Most work days over the past month or so I'm always getting about 2.75-3 hours of screen on time. So we shall see if that goes up or down

Xiam is wholly owned by Qualcomm, however, having been bought back in 2008 and apparently now merged into Qualcomm's "Qualcomm Technologies" subsidiary. I'd say this is the next best thing to having Qualcomm's name under the app.

Mine is actually done learning, i downloaded it a few days ago. I don't have all the technicals but so far i do notice the extra battery... It's not major by any means but it's definitely welcomed!

Mines been installed for almost a week now. Took about 3 days to get off learning mode. So far, I'm seeing a increase on battery life. Its not a huge amount but its noticeable.

Andrew posted his own take on the app yesterday. He has some misgivings about what apps it chooses to limit, and seems wary that even if you set an app (like Gmail) to sync whenever it wants, the app could reset it at some later point. To me that seems a little paranoid, but then I would have thought that an app you check constantly would get the green light from the Qualcomm app in the first place. Time will tell. Mine is now in learning mode. Anyone with the app now fully operational see any problems with push notifications, or settings going back to what the app first chose instead of what you chose?

Yeah I loaded it last night. According to the app it's still "learning".

I guess I'll wait and see what has to say. Seems like a interesting idea, but whether it actually works is the question.

I downloaded it, but then saw that everything it could do automatically I can do manually. Shut off wifi.. shut off unnecessary apps running in the background mamanually syn, check email and etc. I don't need another app running in the background.. when... like I said... I can do these things manually and easily.
