I try to make a short story short...but this thread is just going to be long. I apologized first...

This is just a thread for ppl who have those issue, and I'm here to shared my experience since I have those issue with my lovely nexus 4 too.

Before my replacement, My nexus 4 has poor signal (unstable too) no matter I'm inside my house or outside public area. I checked with T-mobile that my signal is well cover in Rockville, Maryland.

Although I have poor signal, my call is never dropped due to this issue. I usually experience data connectivity drop when I was surfing the web, and use apps that require internet activity such as

Flipboard. Although data will re-connect, but it's very annoying that you have to wait like 10 minutes to do what you wanna do.

My buzz sound come out from earpiece too when I click on the screen. I don't have the issue like ppl heard buzz sound when on the phone. but this is fairly annoying too.

Another problem is battery drain like crazy. I can have a day with my phone only if I have around 2 hours of screen on time...I believe this is due to the poor signal.

-----------------------------------------------

After I got my replacement, I check the S/N first. ( This is just my habit..nothing relate to the issue..)

The previous one I have is 301K. The replacement is 302K.

After I check both of the phone side by side for any appearance differences, I believe the appearance are the same <- I know this is dumb, but I do check it...

Before I put my sim card, I kindly shake my phone, and I did not heard any loose sound like my previous phone did...

Therefore, I put my sim card (T-mobile) with my replacement, and start using it.
------------------------------------------------------------

What I did to the replacement to make sure I don't have my previous issue.

1. obviously, it's really easy to tell if my phone has buzz sound from earpiece...I use as normal..click on apps..click on home screen..click on back button..no buzzing sound like I will have with my

previous one...

2. In order to make sure I have no dropping call..this is fairly easy too...I just called my gf, and talk to her for an hour...( she is like...why my honey chat with me for so long today..) hehe..she never

knows I was testing phone...I did not just stay at one area when talking on the phone with her...I walk around...to the second floor..third floor..basement...outside of the house..I even drive to the

nearest CVS. (That's a lot you can do in an hour..) and quality is perfect. no dropping call at all even when Im in my basement!

3. for the data connectivity issue, I kind of need help in this category, because what I did might not suitable for others...

Before my replacement, my phone can't even stream Tune In radio for 5 minutes...It keeps disconnect..and it DOES NOT reconnect...( no buffer too)

for this replacement, I download 140 apps with "only" mobile data", I did not turn on Wifi at ALL. I have no issue of downloading. ( I did it at my house)

I stream Tune in Radio while downloading my app. It's none stop streaming with 30 minutes. no drop, no need to buffer. all straight up streaming without any problem. ( Again, in my house and all

on mobile data).

I'm willing to test out my data or signal issue if anyone have a good suggestion on how to correctly test it. I'm not an expert, so I need suggestion on how to test it.

3. for the battery issue, I need more time in this problem. I don't think this problem can be explain in just few hours I got this phone. What I can tell you SO FAR, is that

Before my replacement, my phone would drop battery in 2-3% when I have screen on time or using apps. That's not slowly decreased...it's ONE TIME. It will drop 2-3%at "once"

for this replacement, it just slowly decreased percentage 1 by 1. That's what I can tell so far...

I hope this thread help ppl with similar issue that I had with my previous phone. I know the frustration, and I just want to share with you guys my replacement outcome.

Replacement does not mean you will get a BRAND NEW PHONE. Replacement simply mean, they will give you a refurbish phone. (ppl who RMA just like you, and now the phone is fixed)

If you indicate you have screen problem, they will give you a phone that previously have screen problem (whoever RMA the phone), and now LG is fixed, and they will simply ship it to you.

Therefore, the more you can tell google customer service, the better chances of replacement you can end up with. For all the RMA phone, they simply just mart what the issues are, and send back

to LG, and LG fixed it, and then send the fixed one to whoever have the similar issue.

My suggestion is do not be afraid of RMA, and get the refurbish phone. Your sanctification to the phone should be your #1 Priority. Do the RMA as many times as you want to get your perfect phone.
