Hey guys! I'm buying my fiance a nexus 4 for her birthday as her first smart phone. I actually just have a simple question or two. A.) do they charge your card as soon as you place the order, or when it ships. And B.) Is there any cases you guys would recommend for use, she takes care of her stuff but can be clumsy sometimes. I do not have one, but check out the Rearth Hybrid Fusion Case, I think it looks neat

Thanks! I like the look of that as well. I was told they don't make otter boxes for the nexus. Why would that be I wonder, you would think they would try to hit what I think would be a big market.

If you want that level of protection, check out the Seidio cases - I think they make a bomb proof one

What would the N4 replace phone wise? If shes using a iphone now and you want to replace that with a N4 i'd suggest you sponsor a new phone but let her decide which one. I use a LG soft case. It offers good coverage and the raised bevel around the edge protects the screen well. i also use a screen saver as well.

Could be they figured people wouldn't want to hide the distinctive glass back. Or maybe they underestimated the popularity and now they're a day late and a dollar short.

Great tip, but she actually picked the nexus 4. This will be her first smart phone believe it or not.

Hope she enjoys the new phone, personally I like the Spigen Ultra Thin Air case. Sadly I have yet to purchase a case, the phone feels so right naked

It has terrible buttons - see the reviews on amazon. If I was able to try it before buying - I wouldn't buy it.
