Access Nexus 4 screen from computer through USB

I broke my Nexus 4 display and it's not sensible anymore.
I can see the apps through the broken glass and access the folders from my computer through USB.
Is there a way to access the homescreen of the phone from my computer through USB, provided that I cannot start any remote access app such as TeamViewer from on the phone?

There are two things I'd like to do:

- Recover my notes from the Notes Lite app (I haven't found where they are stored in the folders)
- See the sms and what's app messages I received before I informed people my phone was broken
