HELP cant get my files off my broken Nex 4

I dropped my phone and broke the screen on my Nex 4.Touch screen wont work at all. Went to TMO and they gave me a new sim for a crappy flip phone had until my new one came in. Got my new one, hooked up the broken Nex 4to the laptop (win 7) to take the files off to transfer to the new one, and the PC only recognizes it as a camera, so no other files can be moved. Plugged in the new nexus 4 and it recognizes it as a storage device and I can see ALL the files on it (which are empty, because i cant transfer my stuff off the broken one ) so i know my PC has the drivers for the Nex 4 loaded. Any ideas?
