Skype and Nexus 4

Anyone had any problems using Skype (video chat) on Nexus 4?
Was doing a video chat on Sunday and on 3 occasions it caused the phone to power off/reboot.
Phone was using mobile data and was connected to mains charger (although it did the same when not connected to charger).

Was very strange, all that happens that suddenly the screen goes black and then turns off.

Odd indeed. Sounds like the Netflix app when it wasn't optimised for 4.3.

I know hangout (Google+) works sound

ok, at least i know it's not just my phone then.
might try and get the other person to use Hangouts or something else (they are using an ipad).

Hangouts app for iOS was just updated. This may be a good option.

Having said this, I have not experienced problems with skype.

I use the Skype app all the time, never had an issue, have video calls with my son in college for up to an hour with no problems... Stock 4.3 and Skype 4.4.0.31835, have you tried clearing data on the app and/or uninstall and reinstall?

I have 3 Nexus 4 in my household. They all reboot while video skyping. I notice that it is due to overheating since they all get very warm to the touch.
Do a Google search and you will find lots of users with the same problem.
