Android 4.4 kit kat on nexus 4

I'd like to know how soon we, nexus 4 owners, will be able to force the OS 4.4 update using:

1. Go to Settings > Apps > All Apps

2. Find the Google Services Framework

3. Force Stop the app and then clear the data.

4. Go to Settings > About Tablet > System Update

5. The date should now show 12/31/1969 or something like that from 1969.

6. Check for the update.

**Id try it now but the wifi network @ works is really bad. If anyone wants to try it now let us know...

KitKat is announced but not released for Nexus 4..

from what i understand from google it will be released in a week or so

Since the nexus 5 is shipping in a few days with 4.4. Wouldn't google release factory images at around the same time? Or would they wait till every device gets the update?

They said that about 4.3. I did that and still not one problem. Screwing the account is more a myth than the work around

I did it. Had to uninstall and completely reload my Google account..... And didn't get the ota any sooner.
