Android 4.4 on nexus 4

I just installed Android 4.4 on my N4 using the factory images and I noticed that a new notification asking me to sign into network. This is different from Sign into Wi-Fi network. (see screenshot). Any ideas?

What happens when you tap on it? Does it ask for a password or anything?

It just opens the browser at www.google.com

I get that notification every oh-so-many days, and I'm still on 4.3. Nothing has ever come of it so far though, just a nuisance.

I've never seen it before the update. Is it possible it has something to do with the carrier? I have straight talk through ATT.

Weird. I get the same thing after I flashed an AOKP (4.3) nightly. Weird to see it with a factory image.

I am still on 4.3 and starting getting these messages for the first time ever today. I am also on Straight Talk (AT&T also). I just deleted the messages; not sure what is going on.

That is a carrier thing. I had that happen occasionally when I was on net 10 att. Not sure why it happens.
