Email Attachments Not In Download Folder

Hi,

When I save an email attachment from the stock email app they don't appear in my download folder. In fact I can't find where they go. I can see the picture in the email app and if I touch the image it opens with the email app icon in the corner.

If I download stuff from the net or Google drive they appear in the download folder no problem.

I've even searched for the file in OI file manager and it doesn't find it.

My N4 is running Kit Kat 4.4.2

Any ideas what's happening. Thanks in advance.

When you get an email attachment make sure you download the file. If it's displayed in the app that doesn't necessarily mean it was automatically downloaded. See if there is an option to download the file attachment then check the sd card contents for the downloaded file.

Thanks for the reply. I click save in the email app, so I assume it should be saving it to the phone, but it doesn't seem to be doing it. Something strange going on.

Well in the end I installed another email app (K9 email). This app allows you to chose where attachments are saved. I chose the download folder and everything is working as it should be now.
