Hey guys is it possible to get expanded desktop mode on a rooted stock ROM? Expanded desktop is on CyanogenMod 11 where you navigation buttons hide and Only appear when you slide up from bottom.

Is it possible to get this or something similar on a Rooted Stock Android 4.4.2 Rom?

    Thanks.

If you're rooted, get the Xposed Framework and download GravityBox via that app. It gives pretty much all features a custom rom can give you and there are many other modules that'll give you more customization on your phone. A nice feature is that you can still perform OTA updates as the Xposed Framework lets you deselect the use of any modules and *poof* you're still on stock android.
    It's amazing IMHO.

Yes. If you use something like Nexiz Root Toolkit to root without custom recovery then you can get OTA updates. If you do install custom recoveries or kernels, you can use the same toolkit to restore the stock ones. If worst case scenario is that you use the toolkits to install a update from factory image (without wiping data).

Do make sure to have a full nandroid backup before you try to update in case it goes wrong.
