Why is my Chrome browser on my Nexus 4 redirecting to other sites?

Crome bowser on Nexus 4 redirecting to other sites

I am using Nexus 4 since 2013. the phone is running on android 5.0.1. AS the phone become very slow I did factory reset my Nexus 4. After that while using Crome browser, it redirecting to othe sites and asking me to install other apps. How can I stop this.

It's probably malware sites that redirect you, try other browsers, or try turning javascript off.

Thanks for your reply. After that I tried Firefox. Same is happening with is also.

It will show up with all browsers till they have a java support. It's because ads, hackers and malware producers create ads with malicious code in it, when site loads, ads will automaticly redirect you. Maybe it's particular site that redirects you?

how do I stop this headache. Even some times when I unlock the screen, first it opens up some site.

Try installing Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus from the Play Store.

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the Avast and scan the system. Still the problem continues.
