Nexus 4 Location/GPS Not working

This just happened last week.

On turning ON the Location/GPS i don't get the icon in the top bar rendering the Maps & all chances of navigation useless.
Surprisingly, on using the Flipkart app, i am able to see the icon magically re-appear in the topbar.

I went to the LG service centre here in Mumbai & the technician told me they'll install Jelly Bean & see if works & then i can update back to Lollipop.

I didnt do it at the time as i was busy, and now i'm in another country & REALLY NEED the GPS to navigate around.

Any help/fixes on this would be really appreciated.

Go to Settings>Location​. Is it set to High Accuracy?

Yes, it was set to that all along.
Anyways, i went to Dubai, put a new sim in the Nexus & viola! It starts working
