5.1.1 connection to network no data

Hi
I have a Nexus 4 and received an OTA system update on Wednesday evening (19/8). Ever since then I get the bars-with-an-exclamation-mark displayed at the top of the screen. If I connect to a wi-fi network then the exclamation mark disappears.

To make matters slightly more complicated I am normally based in the UK on the 3 Network however I am currently in the USA and my phone has connected to the T-Mobile network. I have tried:
off/on - doesn't work
removing and cleaning sim - doesn't work
safe-mode - doesn't work
I only have have one APN (3 Mobile)
The network type is 3G.

Any sugfestions ?

Sorted this myself by going back to 5.0.1 using Wugfresh. Will try going back up to 5.1.1 when back on normal SIM and in the UK.
