So I read Phil's post confirming that you can activate Play Store n5s on Sprint. If this is the case, than the big story was really missed in my opinion. The fact that Sprint users can get it from Play is great, but what this really means is that all of the N5s are identical. Which would lead you to believe that OS updates will hit all devices at the same time. Which means that the traditional delays that CDMA devices have ALWAYS had are a thing of the past. No more CDMA updates 2 months after GSM like we saw with the gnex and nexus s. This is BIG news for Sprint users, and something that we have been told was impossible and would never happen.
This would also likely mean that every single n5 is entered into Sprints database, which is unprecedented or that Sprint will blindly activate any n5 which would be an even more radical departure from their 15+yr policies.
