How much actual storage...

Hey im going to be getting a Nexus 5 as soon as it hits the stores, I know it says 16 and 32 gig but after everything already pre installed on it how much actual storage is available for games and apps. Should I get the 16 or the 32? Also which do you think looks nicer black or white? Thanks.:-*

12.55 and 26.76. If you don't mind carrying around a small SD card dongle on your key chain you can expand it up to 86.06GB.

Depends on how much media and apps you want on your phone and if you're willing to shell out more for the extra storage.

I prefer the black since it has the soft touch material.

But to use that SD card dongle, you have to root the phone am I right? It won't work right out of the box from what I've read.

No root is required to read from the external storage but you'll have to use an app such as Nexus Media Importer to detect and mount the drive. If you want the ability to write from the Nexus 5 itself then root is required.
