Hi,
Been working on setting up new Nexus 5, and use this phone for handling system alerts. I have it set so that mail comes into gmail or text message from certain contact will trigger loud / long annoying alert notification to ensure it wakes me up.
However, I'd like to be able to quickly silence this when phone is locked. i.e. I grab the phone and hit the volume down or power button. The notification is like 10 seconds long, so don't want to always just let it finish. Right now, doesn't seem to be any way to abort it. Even if I unlock and go into silent mode it turns off, but is still playing (as in if I turn silent mode off, it's still playing).
Thoughts on best way to do this? Coming from blackberry where you can just hit one of the external buttons to interrupt the notification.
Thanks!
