Can you walk into Google and ask for repair or replacement of a Nexus 5?

Yeah, the N5 is manufactured by LG; LG handles service claims.

Well, there's really nowhere to "walk" into.

I've heard that Google will express replace devices, depending on the issue.

If the phone just arrived and it's defective, you can return it and get a replacement. Call the Google customer service number. Once the return period expires, you'll need to deal with LG directly for a warranty repair.

Design defect? So it affects all N5's? Anyways, you may be able to RMA it with Google.
