Will At&t ever be selling the Nexus 5 (I know you can buy it from google play and put in an At&t sim card.

Re: At&t Nexus 5

Historically, AT&T never sold any Nexus phone. I wouldn't think Nexus 5 will be any different.
Besides, AT&T will demand Google do the following before it will sell any Nexus:
1. Disable Google Wallet because it competes with ISIS it promotes.
2. Remove Qi wireless charging because it competes with the other wireless charging protocol it promotes.
3. Add tethering enforcement like Sprint and T-Mobile do today.

its a minor point in the context of this thread but i don't think point #2 is accurate. att currently has many Qi devices (Nokia) and i'd say about half of the N4/N5 Qi charger users bought their chargers on discount from AT&T stores, where they are currently stocked and sold

In case you didn't know, AT&T version of Nokia Lumia 1520 (just released) has its Qi wireless parts removed per AT&T request. Yes, it is true the older phones has Qi support. But recently AT&T signed into PMA wireless charging alliance. 1520 is the first phone that went under this surgery. There is no doubt that all future phones will go through the same thing.

Re: At&t Nexus 5

It will work fine. Buy from the play store. I currently switch my sim between three phones including the n5.

Re: At&t Nexus 5

But if I buy a Nexus 5 and add an At&t sim card everything will work fine right?

I bought my 32 Gig White model directly from the play store. I put the sim from my ATT Lumia 920 into my N5 and it was instantly activated. It was that quick! All you have to do is pop in your sim. That's it.
