Anyone tried this battery replacement?

I'm kind of surprised that the batteries for the 16 and 32 GB versions are different. At any rate, I have no intention of ever taking my phone apart so that I could replace the battery.

I was trying to find it but I had seen a youtube video of someone removing the back and doing the battery replacement... Seemed like removing the back of the Nexus 5 was pretty simple (but it always seems that way in the video until your sitting there trying to pry it apart) but the process of getting the actual battery removed was pretty intensive.... I think the video was nearly 20 minutes long from start to finish and a lot of tiny screws involved..... and I've done some phone repairs in the past (replaced the screen on a couple of GS3's) for the most part I am pretty happy with my battery life so far so I think I'll leave it alone for now...

I wonder if it's worth getting in advance. How long can you keep a battery lying around before you use it? Over a year?

I don't see how that battery can fit this device. It's got a larger capacity which means it should be larger in size. And according to tear down videos, there isn't room for an increased battery size, stepped design or otherwise.

Also, the LG G2 battery is BL-T7. Whereas the Nexus 5 is BL-T9. Unless there is some extra space hiding inside the Nexus 5 I don't see this battery working, so use caution if anyone decides to purchase and install.

Something is really fishy about these facts;

The Nexus 7 uses the BL-T9 (2300mAh) and the LG G2 uses the BL-T7 (3000mAh)

According to the XDA site our Nexus 5 battery BL-T9 Dimension: 60mm x 57mm. The LG G2 battery BL-T7 Dimension: 67mm x 55mm

This is from the two links for the replacement battery above;
3000mAh BL-T7 Li-Polymer Battery for LG Nexus 5 32GB, Optimus G2 Dimension: 67.12 x 55.09 x 5.23 mm
2300mAh Li-Polymer BL-T9 Battery LG Nexus 5 16GB, D821 ----------Dimension: 60.92 x 55.33 x 4.50mm

The D820 version of the Nexus 5 is designed for North America. The D821 version of the Nexus 5 is set up to work with the rest of the world.

Also, the 2300mAh said in the description;
The 2300mAh Li-Polymer BL-T9 Battery LG Nexus 5 16GB, D821 says "Compatible Models: LG Nexus 5 16GB, D821:

Interesting. The stock battery part is BL-T9 and it is 2300mAh, which they show for the 16GB phone. There is not difference in stock batteries. LG's model# for the Nexus 5 is D821, which is the 2300mAh battery. The Optimus G2 does use a 3000mAh, but that is not the same phone as the Nexus 5. You will also note the battery dimensions are different and there is no extra room in the Nexus 5 phone. I would pass on this site.
