I don't see any reason to ROM but I probably will root to develop my aCoredion script. The reason I got a nexus was so o didn't have to root to get of the 70 odd apps I'll never use...

I'm using the stock ROM with Franco Kernel. So far it's ageeat combination that works good for me. In time I'll find myself exploring the various ROM choices.

Various mods, tweaks and enhancements provided over stock. Stock works good for me at the moment, but there's always more to be desired and that's where custom ROMs come into play.

+1 xposed framework rocks, all of the rom goodies with out all of the flashing and denying your phone OTA's (franco will cause a failed OTA but its a simple fix)

Cataclysm with Faux kernel. Was using xposed and Gravity Box. Uninstalled it cause it was draining my battery like crazy.

You must have done something wrong. xPosed and GravityBox don't drain the battery.

Doing what wrong? Install xposed, click on module and then install GB....and then noticed Android OS going up to 23%........

Just running the stock ROM with root. I don't bother with custom ROMs anymore since there's anyways something wrong with them. I really appreciate the work that those devs do, but I'm more interested in stability these days. Plus, stock Android is really good now!

I don't know what you've done wrong, but again, xPosed and GravityBox won't drain the battery. There must have been a module that you installed that caused it, or the phone had other issues.

Totally agree. I just really want Google to add the feature to skip and go back when holding the volume rockers while listening to music. It's an invaluable feature as music is the primary use of my smartphone and it is nice not to have to turn on the screen and find the skip button in the dark when I'm tired or when driving. It's the sole reason I am considering trying a ROM out.

I told you what I had installed. and no there was no other Module beside GB that was install. I never had my OS go up to 23%. Just a coincidence that after installing xposed and GB Anddroid OS shot up to 23% (normally it around the 9-10% mark) I checked bbs and there was no wakelock. Others on XDA forum are also complaining about xposed and GB. Maybe you are not having this issue, but I am.... And no there nothing wrong with my phone.......Some people.....smh

Is there a module in xposed that will let you double tap to wake the phone or will I have to install a custom kernel?

I don't remember any module that will let u do this. On faux kernel there is an option to let it tap the screen to wake up the phone.
