Nexus 5 cracked screen replacement - which screen to get ?

I'm looking at replacing the cracked screen on my friends nexus. I see that I can get a replacement lcd and digitizer assembly with or without a front housing . I am leaning towards the no housing option ( money is an issue) - would anyone know of a reason , apart from more disassembly/assembly, to go with the more expensive unit.

Any advice and or tips is greatly appreciated.
