Default Nexus 5: Lock screen shortcuts??

    Hey guys,
Is it possible to add shortcuts to the lock screen similar to cyanogenmod does? I love to add a few like SMS, Browser, etc...Didn't know the best app to download. Don't really feel like rooting. Thanks!

You can't add "targets" to the unlock ring on the stock lockscreen without using a custom ROM, however there are some third-party apps that might fit the bill:

Google Play | Cover (beta) - fast app access
Google Play | HomeBase Lock Screen

There are more, surely. Cover is actually a context-aware lockscreen that presents apps as it thinks you'll be wanting them.

Power Toggles is a great widget that includes a lockscreen widget that you can customize to include shortcuts to any app.

I second power toggles. Easy to use. Clean. Customizable.

I prefer DashClock Widget. Then you can extend it with countless add-ons such as AppLauncher, which does what you're asking for.
