    Hey,

When going to settings/data usage you can see your cellular data usage which is a built in feature of Android as you know (and you can set your billing date cycle so that it resets itself on the new date each month, etc. Well my line was just activated yesterday and I did some tests with speedtest.net, etc to test the LTE in my area...so it shows that so far in total I've used just over 100MB's of cellular data...yet when I log into my T-Mobile account it only shows 0.02MB of data used. That's a big difference and it's been almost 24 hours since I used the data on the phone, I would assume T-Mobile would have caught up by now if they indeed have a delay or lag between reporting/updating data usage on ones account?

So which is more reliable, the phones data reporting or the carriers?

The carrier's should be more accurate. There is a bug on 4.4.2 which is supposed to be fixed on 4.4.3 regarding data usage so that could well be that..

The Carrier is the one to go by! Are you on a plan for example where you get free Facebook or social media? If so the usage could be shown, but not calculated.

Try using 3G Watchdog and see what that picks up!
