I lost my Nexus 5

I misplaced my Nexus 5 phone yesterday, and I was able to see it on android device manager earlier today, but now I guess the phone is dead so its no longer available.

Does anyone know if the play store or LG warranty covers this, or am I just screwed and have to buy a new phone? Did this happen to anyone else?

Have you tried contacting Google? That would be my first course of action.

Warranties don't cover loss or theft, only defects. Phone insurance (like Asurion) covers theft or loss, but you still have to pay a deductible.
