Does Purity allow me to change the boot animation?

Changing boot animation

Hey guys I am running the Purity Rom on my Nexus 5. Now I wanted to change my boot animation. I wanted to know if Purity allows me to change the boot animation and what is the quickest and safest way to do this. And one last question is changing the boot animation risky?

As for it being risky, I have seen quite a few users post problems (most saying they go into a boot loop) that occur right after changing it. I am not sure how to change it though.
