Strange battery behaviour

Hi guys.

Had my N5 from Nov 13 and its been great. Love lollipop. I know the battery sucks, has done since day 1 however of late its behaving really strange.
Firstly the phone switches itself off is using camera (also now other random apps but mainly camera) and when I turn it back on battery has dropped from 80% to 13%-15%. But weirder still it then re-charges without being plugged in.....

Anyone else seen anything like this?

I have experienced very minor rising gradients in the battery graph in various phones, suggesting some inexplicable gain in charge, but nothing like as dramatic as yours. Have you considered the dreaded Factory Reset?
First, try a harmless Cache Partition wipe, which may do some good.

I had the same issue, about the time I upgraded to lollipop and I tried to blame Lollipop. Then I ordered a replacement battery and all is great.

Did a factory reset about a month ago for to battery not holding charge for more than an hour
Maybe it's a lollipop bug?

Re-reading your first post, I don't know why I didn't see it as possibly a straightforward failing battery problem. I think DLK1 has the answer.

Buddy, it means that your battery has lost its capacity. Replace it with a good quality battery and ur problem is solved. i had the same problem until i bought a new one....
