How do I send MMS and group messages w/Nexus5 on Cricket?

Recently switched from t-mobile to cricket. Since the switch, my wife is unable to send picture text messages, or group text messages. On t-mobile all was well. When using google hangouts, all is well. She is unable to send any group texts at all, no group messages at all. Unfortunately, group messages are a job necessity. We tried manually entering the apn or whatever it's called for cricket. Should we delete Hangouts? Download a new text app? Is it possible that the MMS and group text option is turned off? If so, how do we turn it on?
