is my nexus 5 micro usb port fixable?

away on hols, my nexus 5 stopped charging. im not entirely sure why. i let some bar staff charge my phone a couple of times and have a feeling someone forced something or got it wet(!?).

anyway, if i hold the charger in the port at an angle it starts to charge but then stops... it won't keep charging.

safe to say i can't boot the phone up.

is it possible to change the micro usb charge port? im 99% sure it's this, but a small chance it could also be my battery?

Welcome to Android Central! Inspect the port--is there any debris in there, like lint? Or is the pin bent or otherwise damaged?

Also, have you tried a different USB cable? Perhaps the one you have is faulty.
