Nexus 5 with wwifi problem - is it the wifi chip or Compliant Wireless Power Receiver?

Hey guys, my nexus has the following problem: When i turn on my wifi (i can turn it on fine, it get's activated, the slider gets blue) it keeps on searching for wifi networks but never finds one.
I was wondering if it would be more related to a wifi chip problem (which is really pricey to fix) or if it is with the wireless charging control (http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/OlAAAOSwIgNXquyc/s-l300.jpg)

Welcome back! I saw in your previous post from last year that you had a Nexus 5 with water damage -- is this the same phone?

Also, does this happen regardless of the wi-fi network, or does it only happen at home?

Heyy, it happens regardless of the wifi network. Also it is a different nexus 5
