Anyone else installed "A Better Camera" app from the Play Store? They say they are the only camera app that also does true HD. So far it appears to me to be very full featured and working well with my N6. Your experience please?

Re: "A Better Camera" app

They can only do HD with a phone that has HD hardware, which the newer stock camera will do too. You can't do HD with an 8MP camera. You can fake it in the app, but you can't really do it. And if you do raw files with a 42MP camera, you're doing more than HD (which has been on the market for about a year).

This is incorrect.

HD (high definition) video requires 2mpx (1920x1080) and UHD requires 8mpx (3840x2160). You need a chipset capable of supporting recording video on these sensors, but every HDTV sold in the past several years is only 2 megapixels.

HDR (high dynamic range) can be done with ANY camera, not just one with special hardware. HDR is typically done with several exposures that are then stacked. You can do this with 1 megapixel images and requires nothing other than software. More common, HDR photos are achieved with a single exposure with the highlights trimmed and shadows boosted, and can be accelerated by using hardware.
